Columns of smoke were observed rising from the Naval Support Activity in Bahrain early Monday morning, according to reports. The cause of the smoke has not been confirmed.
Columns of smoke were observed rising from the US Naval Support Activity in Bahrain at 05:04 Jerusalem on Monday, minutes after The Zioneer reported unverified accounts of non-stop explosions in the country at 05:01. The cause of the smoke has not been confirmed.
The reports follow a series of incidents in Bahrain over the past day. On Sunday, at 05:40 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported initial unconfirmed accounts of a renewed Iranian attack, followed by local reports of at least four missiles flying over Bahrain. Subsequent reports at that time described explosions, an additional blast, and a local recording capturing the sound of a missile impact. By 05:40, channels aligned with the Shiite axis were circulating footage of a hit near the US Fifth Fleet base. Later on Sunday, at 11:02 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported smoke rising from the same Naval Support Activity base following Iranian fire.
The reports come amid ongoing US-Iran confrontation in the Gulf region. As The Zioneer has reported, the base was struck during an Iranian multi-wave attack on June 10, and satellite imagery from June 11 showed a fire near Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The current smoke incident follows a pattern of reported activity in and around Bahrain.
The cause of the smoke remains unverified, and it is not yet clear whether it is directly related to the explosions reported at 05:01. No independent confirmation of either event has been provided.
