Solberg determined that while the video was published before the special order banning the use of IDF imagery in election propaganda took effect, the permanent prohibition on using public assets for campaign purposes still applies. Likud had petitioned against the video.
The ruling follows The Zioneer's earlier report at 13:17 that the committee had ordered the video's removal. Solberg's decision provides the legal reasoning: the public-assets prohibition in law is not contingent on the special order.
In recent weeks, Solberg has also ordered the removal of campaign videos by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, as The Zioneer has reported.
