Police arrested a Ramat Gan resident in his 40s on Thursday evening for smashing the N12 entrance door in Tel Aviv with a stone and leaving a death threat letter, according to Israeli media. The investigation involved the Shin Bet, and the suspect has been transferred for questioning.
The arrest on Thursday evening concluded a weeklong investigation into the July 28 attack on N12's Tel Aviv studios. A masked assailant had smashed the glass entrance door with a stone and left a letter threatening to "smash journalists' heads with a brick" unless the channel apologized for its reporting on an IDF detainee abuse case. The Shin Bet joined the investigation after the incident, and a gag order was imposed on the case. The Tel Aviv District Central Unit (YMR) arrested the suspect, a Ramat Gan resident in his 40s, who was previously arrested for spraying graffiti at Reshet 13. The investigation was conducted jointly with the Shin Bet and the Ayalon District Crime Fighting Unit (YLF). The suspect was transferred for questioning.
