01 · THE DISPATCH

A massive search operation concluded Wednesday evening off Palmachim beach south of Tel Aviv, where a 15-year-old boy was swept out to sea at an unmarked beach. MDA reported at 17:15 that three teens were swept into the water; two were rescued and did not require medical treatment. Fire and Rescue Services deployed its Lahava scuba unit and police from Yavne station launched a large-scale search from sea, air, and land.

After nearly two hours, a Fire and Rescue Services diver located the missing teen among the rocks in critical condition, with no pulse or breathing. CPR was performed on the beach and he was evacuated to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon. Police and N12 reporter Hili Keren confirmed the critical-condition evacuation. ZAKA initially reported him pulled out 'without vital signs,' but medical teams continued resuscitation efforts.

As The Zioneer reported at 19:19, the teen was found in critical condition and evacuated with CPR ongoing. The incident joins a series of drownings along Israel's coastline this summer, including two teens in the Jordan River on June 28 and two drownings at Beit Yanai and Rishon LeZion over the past week.
