The teenager was evacuated sedated and ventilated to Ziv Hospital in serious condition, after drowning in a private pool at his home.
The Zioneer reported at 22:34 Jerusalem that a 17-year-old boy had lost consciousness in a pool, with MDA initially assessing the incident as a possible medical episode. The latest information confirms the victim's age and that the incident was a drowning.
The incident is part of a series of pool drowning cases this summer. As The Zioneer has reported, children and teenagers have been hospitalized after drowning incidents across the country, including in Omer, Emek Hefer, Herzliya, Holon, Ein Bokek, and Sdot Negev.
