Tel Aviv naming committee officially approves 'Hostages Square' for the plaza

The Tel Aviv-Yafo municipal naming committee decided Wednesday evening to formally name the plaza in front of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art as 'Hostages Square' (Kikar HaChatufim), following the municipality's earlier announcement.

The municipal naming committee's decision formalizes the name that mayor Ron Huldai proposed earlier this week. As The Zioneer reported earlier Wednesday, the municipality had announced the intention to rename the plaza to commemorate the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
