Amit was born in Jerusalem, the eldest son of Einat and Shahar, and the older brother of Noam and Edo. His brother Edo also fell in battle during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza. On his tombstone, the words of musician Ehud Banai are inscribed: 'From afar a light shines. Do not stray so that you may return.' The Zioneer joins the family, friends, and the nation in honoring his memory and sacrifice.
