Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to manufacture a new enemy in Turkey. Fidan said Netanyahu and others ahead of the elections need an enemy to generate sympathy, and after waging war on Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, they are now trying to cast Turkey in that role. The statement was attributed to Fidan by Turkish media. No official Israeli response has been reported yet.
