A security source now provides context: the interceptors were responding to multiple Iranian missiles fired toward the Aqaba area. The concern of spillover into Israeli territory prompted the interceptor launch. The Zioneer has previously reported on Iranian missile launches toward Jordan, including a launch on June 28 and a launch toward a US base in eastern Jordan on July 15. The status of the current interceptions remains unclear.
