01 · THE DISPATCH

At 02:41 Jerusalem, early Sunday morning, security analyst Yair Goldblatt reported ongoing strikes on Kish Island and in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran. An unverified claim also indicated that the US Army announced it is launching attacks on Iran. These new reports follow earlier developments tonight, when The Zioneer reported at 02:38 Jerusalem that a senior US official confirmed strikes on IRGC naval targets in Bandar Abbas port, after an initial report of US strikes in the Strait of Hormuz area.

The Zioneer's first report at 02:38 Jerusalem, based on a single US official via Barak Ravid (N12), stated that the US military was striking Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz in response to an IRGC attack on a merchant ship. Moments later, at 02:38 Jerusalem, a second version confirmed that the US had struck IRGC naval infrastructure in Bandar Abbas port, with Iran vowing retaliation. The analyst's new report, as well as the unverified US Army announcement, suggests the strikes are continuing and expanding to Kish Island, but both remain unconfirmed.

As The Zioneer has reported in recent weeks, Bandar Abbas and Kish Island have been frequent targets in the US campaign. On June 11, a US official confirmed ongoing strikes and explosions were heard in both locations. On July 8, Goldblatt reported that Bandar Abbas International Airport was attacked and shut down. On July 9, Axios cited US security officials saying strikes would continue, a pattern that the current reports appear to extend.

The extent of the new strikes, any damage or casualties, and the authenticity of the US Army announcement remain unverified. Independent confirmation is pending.
