The incident unfolded rapidly on Wednesday, Aug 5. At 21:51 Jerusalem, initial reports described a brawl between security guards and Hapoel Petah Tikva fans before the Toto Cup match against Maccabi Netanya. Shortly after, a usher was alleged to have struck a fan with an iron bar, leaving the fan hospitalized in moderate-to-mild condition. Three ushers were arrested at the scene, and police detained several individuals. The club issued a statement saying the incident was under investigation, stressing that 'the blood of the fans is not free.' League Administration chairman Erez Kalfon called for the involved individuals to be permanently banned from stadiums and for their security licenses to be revoked.
