The initial reports came at 02:17 Jerusalem, when an explosion was heard in Basra province. Within minutes, the blast was identified at the Hashd al-Shaabi headquarters, and in the same minute, a secondary strike was reported on a weapons warehouse, with footage showing secondary explosions—confirming the presence of stored arms. Goldblatt's newly released footage now corroborates the warehouse attack, hours after the first reports.
The attack is the latest in a pattern of strikes on Iranian-backed militia infrastructure in Iraq.
