IDF strikes Hezbollah weapons truck, 10 infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon

The IDF's 91st Division identified a Hezbollah terrorist cell overnight Friday as they were transferring weapons via a truck near the security zone in southern Lebanon. Following the identification, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) struck the vehicle to remove the immediate threat to forces operating in the area. According to military reports, significant secondary explosions were observed following the strike, providing confirmation that the truck was indeed carrying a cache of arms.

Response to Ceasefire Violations

In a separate wave of activity on Thursday, the IAF targeted approximately 10 Hezbollah infrastructure sites across several locations, including Bint Jbeil, Beit Yahoun, Kounine, and Braachit. The IDF stated that these sites were being used by the organization to facilitate terror activities against Israeli forces stationed in the security zone.

These strikes were launched in direct response to an attack on Israeli troops last night. In that encounter, a reserve soldier was seriously wounded. The IDF has framed these Hezbollah actions as a violation of the current framework governing the border region.
