Police told the court they suspect Broverman was involved in a hit-and-run accident and possess evidence indicating he was the driver. Police also suspect Dayan himself was involved in the incident.
The case has been unfolding since July 17, when Dayan, 22, of Dimona, went missing after sending a message to his girlfriend. On Monday, The Zioneer reported that police had arrested two friends, including Broverman, and found Dayan's vehicle abandoned in Petah Tikva. Later that day, police raised suspicions of obstruction of justice and described the disappearance as "not a normal event," The Zioneer reported.
The Zioneer reported on Monday evening that police had issued a public appeal for information and that Dayan's mother said "whoever needs to pay will pay" after the vehicle was found.
Dayan remains missing. The investigation is ongoing, with police now focusing on the possible hit-and-run incident.
