Central Command Chief, Prosecution File Appeal to Uphold Administrative Order, Defying Defense Minister

Central Command Chief Maj. Gen. Avi Blot and the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office filed an appeal on Tuesday to the Jerusalem District Court, demanding that an administrative order against Dardik remain in effect, according to the Honenu legal aid organization. The move directly contradicts the position of Defense Minister Israel Katz, who had publicly called for the lifting of the order.

The dispute over the administrative order has been escalating. Earlier Tuesday, as The Zioneer reported, Blot appealed a military court ruling that had struck down the order. The latest filing escalates the confrontation to the district court level. The broader conflict dates back to July 13, when coalition MKs accused Blot of circumventing the defense minister's directive, and to July 21, when Katz announced a re-examination of administrative measures against Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria, demanding a policy shift from the general.

The individual known as Dardik, identified in previous reports as Tal Yanon Dradik, a resident of the Binyamin region, remains under the administrative order pending the appeal. Attorney Moshe Polsky, representing Dardik on behalf of Honenu, stated he will file a response demanding the detainee's release.
