Earlier Friday, at 00:06 Jerusalem, the IDF announced the destruction of a major Hezbollah terror tunnel network beneath the Beaufort Ridge using approximately 700 tons of explosives, carried out by the 36th Division under Northern Command. The Lebanese Seismological Center measured the resulting blast as a magnitude 3.8 earthquake, attributing it to the IDF demolition, as The Zioneer reported. Lebanese media also circulated footage of destruction in the area at the same time. The IDF Spokesperson later identified the specific tunnel routes destroyed, and Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz confirmed that the operation was in response to a Hezbollah ceasefire violation.
