Police stated that the boy, Yhali, had difficulty recalling details. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
A court on Thursday extended the remand of the suspect in the kidnapping of 10-year-old Yhali from Petah Tikva, police said. The boy had difficulty recalling details of the incident, according to a police statement.
The suspect, Yigal Boskila, 19, from Jerusalem, was arrested on Monday, Aug 31. Reports at the time described him as a troubled youth with a prior criminal record. Further details that emerged that day showed Boskila had been indicted in March for stealing a phone, and during the abduction he used the child's phone to make a call and deleted the call log. Boskila has said he took the boy to collect money and to introduce him to friends.
As The Zioneer reported on Monday, the suspect was identified and the initial investigation findings were disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing, with police noting the boy's limited recall of events.
