The Samaria Regional Council installed the first kindergarten structure in the Sha-Nur community, 21 years after its evacuation. Built with help from the Education Ministry and the council, the kindergarten will open the coming school year for families who have returned to live there. Council head Yossi Dagan, a Sha-Nur resident himself, recited the Shehecheyanu blessing with children and residents.
Wednesday afternoon, the Samaria Regional Council installed the first kindergarten building in Sha-Nur, a community in northern Samaria that was evacuated in the 2005 disengagement. The structure was erected with assistance from the Ministry of Education and the council, and is set to open for the upcoming school year for families who have resettled the site.
Council head Yossi Dagan, who himself moved back to Sha-Nur, recited the Shehecheyanu blessing alongside children and residents who helped position the building. The project is part of a broader council plan to establish 18 new communities across northern Samaria, as previously reported by The Zioneer. The kindergarten marks the first educational infrastructure in the resettled community since its reestablishment.
