The visit, which began earlier Wednesday, is part of a broader South America tour. Sa'ar is also scheduled to represent Israel at the inauguration of Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella, who has pledged to move his country's embassy to Jerusalem, as The Zioneer reported.
The trip reflects Israel's efforts to strengthen ties with Latin American nations, following a period of strained relations under some left-wing governments in the region.
