Footage of the massive US airstrikes that struck over 80 targets in Iran overnight has emerged, according to reports.
Footage of the massive US airstrikes that struck over 80 targets in Iran overnight has emerged, providing the first visual documentation of the operation's scale. The footage circulates hours after initial reports and official statements detailed the strikes.
Initial reports of the overnight strikes came at 00:50 Jerusalem, with multiple bulletins describing strikes on 80 targets, including CENTCOM confirmations of hits on air defense systems, coastal radar, and IRGC fast boats, as well as unverified claims of IRGC retaliation in Kuwait and Bahrain. At 06:29 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported that the strikes hit four sites including Kharg Island and Bandar Abbas. A subsequent bulletin at 08:45 Jerusalem cited a single-source report claiming the strikes were in retaliation for Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The now-circulating footage is the first visual evidence to emerge.
The strikes are part of a sustained US campaign against Iranian military infrastructure that has been ongoing for weeks, as The Zioneer has previously reported (see background coverage from June 11 through June 28). The campaign began after Iranian attacks on shipping in the Gulf.
The source of the footage has not been independently verified, and it remains unclear whether it covers all the claimed targets. No official US statement on the footage has been released.
