Fresh Sentinel-2 satellite imagery analyzed Monday evening at 20:32 Jerusalem time shows a massive smoke plume stretching approximately 77 kilometers (48 miles) southward across the region.
This follows earlier reports on Monday: at 09:35, The Zioneer reported satellite imagery indicating a probable impact within the refinery's tank farm, and at 14:16, a plume of nearly 70 kilometers was visible. The new analysis confirms the fire has not been extinguished and the plume has extended further.
The Houthi movement claimed responsibility for the strike on July 25, targeting Saudi Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu. The ongoing fire at one of Saudi Arabia's key refineries highlights the continued threat to regional energy infrastructure from Houthi ballistic missile capabilities.
