01 · THE DISPATCH

The grand farewell ceremony for late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei began Friday at 14:08 Jerusalem time in Tehran, with delegations from over 100 countries arriving for the event. The ceremony is expected to last four days. Among the attendees are presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Georgia, and Namibia, as well as delegations from North and South Korea, Pakistan, Oman, India, Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, Hezbollah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), and Palestinian religious representatives.

The ceremony follows the funeral procession that began earlier Friday, as The Zioneer reported at 07:44 Jerusalem. The body of the late Supreme Leader arrived at the Mosalla complex by 09:34, with millions expected to attend. The Zioneer's correspondent reported earlier that Iranian authorities anticipate up to 20 million attendees from Tehran alone.

Notably, Mojtaba Khamenei, the late Supreme Leader's son and designated successor, has not appeared at any of the ceremonies, fueling speculation about his fate, as The Zioneer reported at 13:33.

The event marks the formal commencement of the official mourning period. The regime is using the occasion to project stability and international standing, though the absence of high-profile Western leaders has been noted. The succession process remains unclear, with Mojtaba Khamenei's status unresolved.
