TL;DR

Large forces of Border Police and the Civil Administration, acting on orders of OC Central Command Avi Bluth, demolished the home of the Malkiel family on the Shirat Tziyon hilltop outpost near Kdumim overnight, according to Israeli reports. The outpost was established in Area B in memory of fallen officer Capt. Shir Hajaj as an expression of opposition to the Oslo Accords.

01 · THE DISPATCH

Overnight, Israeli security forces demolished a building on the unauthorized Shirat Tziyon hilltop outpost near Kdumim in the West Bank. The operation was carried out by large Border Police and Civil Administration units acting under the directive of OC Central Command Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth. The structure was the home of the Malkiel family, and reports indicate that equipment was damaged, including solar panels providing minimal electricity to residents who maintain a presence at the site.

The outpost, named in memory of IDF officer Capt. Shir Hajaj (who was killed in a 2017 vehicular attack in Jerusalem), was established in Area B — where the Oslo Accords grant the Palestinian Authority civilian control and Israel security control. The settlers' stated goal is to challenge and effectively nullify the Oslo framework through continued presence on the ground.

This is the latest in a series of enforcement actions against unauthorized outposts in Area B, which Israeli authorities consider illegal under both Israeli and international law. No arrests or injuries were reported during the demolition.
