01 · THE DISPATCH

The IDF announced on Tuesday that it had killed Ali Qaid Mohammed Stitan, a Nukhba platoon commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, in a precise aerial strike in the central Gaza Strip.

According to the military, Stitan infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023, massacre and, throughout the war and in recent days, attempted to advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians. The IDF stated that prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.

The operation follows a series of IDF strikes against Nukhba commanders and Oct. 7 infiltrators in recent weeks. As The Zioneer reported earlier Tuesday, an Islamic Jihad operative who held hostages and led an Oct. 7 squad was also eliminated. IDF troops under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
