The IDF announced on Friday that it eliminated seven Hezbollah terrorists who were transferring weapons near the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the terrorists moved the weapons into a structure in the El Manzala area that was being used as a combat and observation post, from which they operated to prepare and carry out military activity targeting IDF soldiers. The IDF stated that the terrorists' actions alongside the presence of weapons inside the post constituted a threat to its forces.
The elimination follows a pattern of ongoing IDF operations against Hezbollah threats in southern Lebanon. As The Zioneer reported on June 25, the military eliminated six Hezbollah operatives at the Ali al-Taher Ridge, and on June 15, it struck seven immediate threats including rockets and militants approaching troops. The IDF has repeatedly stated it will not tolerate Hezbollah activity that threatens Israeli civilians or soldiers near the border.
The military released footage of the strike. No casualties were reported among IDF forces.
