IDF intercepts aerial target from Lebanon near Metula and Misgav Am

The Israeli Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory near the northern communities of Metula and Misgav Am, the military said. Missile and rocket alerts were triggered by the interception attempts.

This morning's interception near the Lebanon border follows similar incidents this week. On June 10, the IDF intercepted a suspicious aerial target in southern Lebanon after alerts in the Shlomi area, and earlier on June 11, two incidents near Metula and Misgav Am were determined to involve rockets that fell in southern Lebanon, not toward Israel. The military has not released further details on the type of target or whether it posed an immediate threat.
