01 · THE DISPATCH

By 10:57 Jerusalem, the Israeli Air Force was carrying out a broad wave of airstrikes on more than 20 villages across southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese reports. The reports said the intensity of the bombardment had prompted residents in the Nabatieh area to begin evacuating north toward Beirut.

This new wave follows an earlier wave Friday morning, first reported by N12 security correspondent Nir Dvori at 08:07 Jerusalem, which also targeted over 20 villages. Subsequent reports at 08:07 Jerusalem confirmed continuing strikes on specific villages — Tebnit, al-Duwayr, and Tulin — and described residents beginning to leave their homes. The thread then evolved over several minutes (all 08:07 Jerusalem) from a military source describing “very heavy fighting” deep in Lebanon to the IDF confirming airstrikes on multiple targets, including footage from the village of Haboush. The earlier, closely related thread bulletin “Residents begin evacuating Nabatieh toward Beirut” was published at 08:28 Jerusalem, while a separate Zioneer background item from June 14 documented a wave of strikes on 10 Nabatieh-area towns and another on over 80 targets.

The recent Israeli air campaign against Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon has intensified, with The Zioneer reporting on June 10 that at least eight people were killed in a wave of strikes after evacuation warnings. On June 17, a further broad wave was reported. The current escalation comes without immediate confirmation of specific targets, munitions, or casualties for this Friday wave.
