Gaza-based sources report that Israeli forces have placed yellow-marked bollards in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, moving the yellow line westward and further reducing the Gaza Strip's area. The move follows earlier reports today that the yellow line had advanced in the area.
Gaza sources reported Monday afternoon that Israeli forces have placed yellow-marked bollards in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, physically marking a westward shift of the yellow line that further reduces the Gaza Strip's area. The placement appears to entrench the advance first reported earlier in the day.
As The Zioneer reported at 11:11 Jerusalem, Gaza sources said the yellow line had advanced westward overnight in Shuja'iyya, reaching the area of the Shuja'iyya Club near Salah al-Din Street. The new bollards suggest the IDF is now marking that boundary on the ground.
The yellow line — a buffer zone created by the IDF to limit Hamas's operational space — has been gradually expanded in multiple areas of the Gaza Strip over recent weeks. The Zioneer has covered similar advances in Deir al-Balah (June 27), southern Khan Yunis (July 1), and the northern al-Atatra area (June 24), among other locations. The current move in Shuja'iyya continues this pattern of incremental territorial control.
No comment has been issued by the IDF. The exact extent of the new bollard line and its effect on civilian movement remain unconfirmed.
