The IDF said Tuesday evening it struck and destroyed the launcher from which Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon earlier in the day. The air force intercepted several rockets before the counterstrike; no alerts were activated under policy. In a separate incident, troops fired warning shots and then struck a suspicious vehicle in the same area, according to the military spokesman.
The IDF has confirmed that earlier on Tuesday, Hezbollah launched a volley of rockets toward Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon. Israeli Air Force jets intercepted several of the rockets, and within a short time, the military struck and destroyed the launcher that had fired them. No civilian or military alerts were triggered, in line with standing IDF policy for tactical engagements within Lebanese territory.
Separately, the IDF identified a suspicious vehicle in the same area. Troops first fired warning shots and then struck the vicinity to remove the threat.
This incident is the latest in a pattern of near-daily Hezbollah attacks on Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement. As The Zioneer reported over the past week, the IDF has repeatedly intercepted rockets, struck approaching militants, and destroyed launchers and drone infrastructure. Hezbollah has continued firing anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, and rockets at IDF positions. Tuesday's incident did not result in Israeli casualties, the military said.
