Col. Meir Biderman, injured in combat in Lebanon, attended and spoke at the handover ceremony of the 401st Armored Brigade. In his remarks, Biderman expressed gratitude for surviving, noted the brigade lost 62 soldiers and one female soldier during the campaign, and apologized for not bringing all of them home. He was replaced by Col. Yoav Schneider.
