The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement this evening (Mon 20:21 Jerusalem) thanking the Jordanian people and "elements within Jordan's security forces" for providing intelligence that, according to the IRGC, enabled strikes on 20 shelters housing US troops, killing dozens, and on C-17 transport aircraft and P-8 surveillance aircraft at Aqaba airport. This adds a new element to the IRGC's claims earlier today (Mon 10:23 Jerusalem), when it first asserted it had struck the C-17 and P-8 aircraft as part of the 21st wave of "Operation Offspring 2". The earlier claim did not attribute the success to Jordanian cooperation. None of these claims have been independently verified, and US Central Command has not confirmed any damage or casualties.
The IRGC has made a series of unverified claims about attacks on US assets in Jordan over recent weeks, as The Zioneer has reported.
