The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed Sunday morning that Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the terrorist filmed abducting Noa Argamani on a motorcycle on October 7, 2023, was killed in a precision airstrike in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza on Saturday. The joint statement said Sakr, a global jihad operative who supplied weapons to Hamas, was targeted after recently advancing attacks against Israeli civilians and troops, in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement. The operation was carried out by the Israel Police's elite Gideonim Unit 33, marking the first time the unit's involvement was publicly disclosed in such an elimination.

As The Zioneer reported Sunday, the elimination is part of an ongoing Israeli campaign to methodically pursue every operative involved in the October 7 massacre and abductions. Sakr is the latest in a series of targeted strikes against Nova festival abductors; in recent months, the IDF has also eliminated Ahmed Kafina, a Kataeb al-Mujahideen commander involved in the same abduction, and Zaher Abu Salem, an Islamic Jihad infiltrator who also participated in kidnappings.
The elimination closes a chapter in the hunt for those responsible for the abduction of Argamani and Or. Argamani was rescued in Operation Arnon on June 8, 2024; Or remains in captivity.
