The Israel Police released drone footage Sunday showing the precision strike that killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the global jihad operative who abducted Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or on October 7, 2023. The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the elimination earlier Sunday, stating the strike was carried out Saturday in Nuseirat by the elite Gideonim Unit 33. Sakr supplied weapons to Hamas and recently advanced attacks in violation of the ceasefire.
The Israel Police on Sunday released drone footage of the airstrike that eliminated Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the terrorist who gained notoriety for being filmed abducting Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or on a motorcycle during the October 7, 2023, Nova festival massacre. The footage, published by the elite Gideonim Unit 33 of Lahav 433, shows the precision strike in the Nuseirat area of central Gaza.
The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the elimination earlier Sunday, stating that Sakr was a global jihad operative who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and drove the motorcycle used to kidnap Argamani and Or. He later supplied weapons to Hamas during the war and recently advanced attack plans against Israeli troops and civilians, in systematic violation of the ceasefire, according to the military. He was killed Saturday in an aerial strike. Prior to the strike, the military took measures to mitigate civilian harm, including precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
Noa Argamani was rescued in June 2024 during Operation Arnon; Avinatan Or remains in captivity. The elimination is the third known strike against individuals involved in Argamani's abduction, following the killing of Ahmed Hussein Muhammad Kafina in July and other operations targeting October 7 perpetrators. As The Zioneer reported Sunday morning, the confirmation of the elimination closes a significant investigative circle for the security forces.
