Lebanese media reports, citing the national news agency and Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar, say an Israeli UAV struck a vehicle this morning in the village of Tibnin (Tebnit) in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, killing one person and wounding another. The IDF has not commented. The target's affiliation is not yet reported.
A single-source Lebanese report, carried by Kan 11's Arab Desk, says an Israeli drone struck a vehicle this morning in the village of Tibnin in the Nabatieh district, killing one person and wounding another. The report notes the strike occurred after a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, which includes a cessation of hostilities on all fronts including Lebanon, reportedly took effect.
This is the latest in a series of similar drone strikes on vehicles in southern Lebanon over the past week and a half. As The Zioneer has reported, previous strikes in the same area — including Tibnin itself on June 8 and 18, and in Wadi al-Masila on June 14 — also involved one fatality each, indicating an ongoing pattern of targeted killings by UAVs in the region. The affiliation of the targets in those prior strikes was not disclosed at the time.
The IDF has not commented on today's incident. Lebanon's official National News Agency and Hezbollah's Al-Manar have not yet issued separate confirmations beyond what was carried by Kan 11. Casualty figures and the identity of the target remain unconfirmed by independent sources.
