An Israeli flag was placed on an UNRWA building in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood of northern Jerusalem on Tuesday, according to The Zioneer.
On Tuesday, Israeli police and Border Police forces began a large-scale operation to take control of the UNRWA compound in the Kafr Aqab neighborhood of northern Jerusalem, east of the separation barrier. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said the operation implements the law and removes an organization whose employees were involved in terrorism. During the operation, at around 14:08, an Israeli flag was placed on the UNRWA building, as reported by The Zioneer. The Foreign Ministry announced that a new community and educational center will be built on the site with an investment of 40 million shekels, including school facilities and a mosque. As The Zioneer later reported, security forces completed the demolition of the compound in the afternoon, describing it as a terrorist infrastructure linked to the abduction and murder of hostage Yonatan Samerano.
