New details emerged Saturday evening on an attack on a CNN news crew near the village of Sinjil in the Binyamin region of Judea and Samaria. According to Moriah Asraf and Doron Kadosh (N13 / Army Radio), masked settlers blocked the journalists' vehicle and punctured one of its tires. IDF forces arrived at the scene and detained four suspects, who were transferred to police. A search of the suspects' vehicle uncovered clubs and a knife.
The incident follows an earlier report by The Zioneer at 16:38 that police had found the weapons in the suspects' vehicle after the journalists' vehicle was vandalized. The same journalist was previously attacked months ago in the village of Tiyasir by an IDF reserve force, the report noted.
No injuries among the journalists have been reported. The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
