New footage documents the aftermath of the US military's attack on bridges in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, according to reports.
New footage published Friday evening documents the aftermath of the US military strike on bridges in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas, adding to a growing body of visual evidence from the ongoing American campaign against Iranian infrastructure.
The footage follows earlier documentation at 18:39 Jerusalem, when The Zioneer reported on footage showing the railway bridge near Bandar Abbas that had been attacked. Since the US strikes began on July 8, The Zioneer has tracked a series of attacks on bridges, railways, power grids, and other infrastructure in Bandar Abbas and across southern Iran.
At 00:36 Jerusalem Friday, The Zioneer reported that Iran's semi-official Fars news agency said five bridges had been struck overnight, including in Bandar Abbas, Khamir, and Lar. Subsequent reports and footage throughout the day confirmed damage to multiple bridges on the Bandar Abbas–Shiraz axis, including the Kohurestan bridge and the Khorasan bridge. By 18:39, footage of the railway bridge provided further detail.
The Zioneer has previously reported on a collapsed bridge, tanker traffic jams near a damaged bridge, attacks on railway lines, and power outages in Bandar Abbas since July 8. The US campaign, as reported earlier, aims to isolate the strategic port city of Bandar Abbas and disrupt supply routes to the Strait of Hormuz.
The extent of damage to the bridges and any casualties remain unconfirmed, and the footage has not been independently verified.
