Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan praised Melat, saying he 'saved lives until his last breath.' The attack, which occurred on Friday, July 24, involved a group of Israeli hikers who were confronted by a mob from the Palestinian village of Tel. The security coordinator of Havat Gilad was also involved in the exchange. As The Zioneer reported on Friday, the IDF imposed a closure on the village and is investigating the incident.
