01 · THE DISPATCH

Paramedics who responded to a house fire in Tayibe this morning described the scene to Channel 12, saying they arrived to find thick black smoke rising from the home. Neighbors had already evacuated four people, including three children and a woman in her 30s. Three of the injured — the children and the woman — were unconscious from smoke inhalation, while a fourth child was in moderate condition. The paramedics, Ariel Angoltz and Walid Diwani of Magen David Adom, provided life-saving treatment and evacuated all four to Beilinson and Meir hospitals.

The account follows a series of reports earlier this morning. At 09:00 Jerusalem, N12 initially reported that three children had been rescued from a burning building, with crews continuing to search for possible additional trapped individuals. At the same time, Magen David Adom confirmed that four people were injured, three in serious condition — a 7-year-old girl, a 7-year-old boy, and a 30-year-old woman — and a 5-year-old boy in moderate condition. The Zioneer published a bulletin summarizing the Channel 12 report at 09:13 Jerusalem. The new paramedic account provides the first detailed description of the rescue scene.

As The Zioneer has reported, house fires causing smoke inhalation injuries have occurred in other communities this year, including a fire in Jatt on June 15 that left four with smoke inhalation, and a Netanya residential building fire on June 18 that injured 14, including three in moderate condition.

The cause of the fire in Tayibe remains under investigation. No further updates on the condition of the victims have been reported since their evacuation.
