Israeli police arrested a 16-year-old female minor and an 18-year-old suspect in the murder of Beniahu Razi, according to Ynet. The search for the main suspect, Avior Sasson, who remains at large, continues.
Israeli police arrested two additional suspects overnight in the murder of Beniahu Razi: a 16-year-old female minor and an 18-year-old resident of El'ad, Israeli media reported at 10:18 Jerusalem on Thursday. Police are expected to request a court extension of their detention later today. The search for the main suspect, Avior Sasson (17), who remains at large, continues.
The investigation has been ongoing for over two weeks. As The Zioneer reported on Wednesday, July 22, at 20:33 Jerusalem, police confirmed that Sasson remains at large and that most other participants have been arrested. Earlier that day, at 19:56, exclusive footage published by journalist Daniel Amram showed the group of youths fleeing the scene moments after the killing and attempting to dispose of the murder weapon. At 16:55, a Jerusalem court extended the detention of three female suspects by eight days, and at 12:51, the court extended the detention of Agam Tzrafi (19), who is suspected of planning the murder, by seven days. On July 15, at 12:08 Jerusalem, the court allowed publication of the names of two women suspects, Shilat Huta (19) and Mazal Linor Shashon (50), suspected of involvement in the murder and of ordering the stabbers to the apartment. On July 22 at 21:05, police also arrested a relative of the main suspect.
The arrests bring the total number of suspects in custody to at least six, while the primary suspect remains at large. Police have not disclosed further details about the involvement of the two new suspects.
What remains unclear is the specific role of the newly arrested suspects in the murder. The investigation continues, and the search for Avior Sasson is ongoing.
