The request, first reported Sunday, comes as the criminal investigation into the State Comptroller election scandal expands beyond Haskel's own testimony.
The investigation was initiated by the Attorney General, as The Zioneer reported last Thursday, Jul 30. That same day, MK Haskel testified at the Lahav 433 police unit for approximately 90 minutes regarding her allegations that members of the New Hope party were required to videotape their vote for State Comptroller Michael Ravilo and present the footage to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Zioneer reported that Haskel was summoned to testify after her claims were first published by Israeli media.
The broader probe has also included a separate request by the Attorney General to the police to examine whether Likud submitted a false affidavit to the High Court of Justice in connection with the comptroller election, as The Zioneer reported on Jul 29.
The identities of the additional MKs whom police seek to question, and the scope of their expected testimony, have not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
