Linor Sasson, the mother of the main suspect, was charged with obstruction of justice and aiding an offender after the fact.
The indictments cap a month-long investigation. As The Zioneer reported, Avior Sasson was arrested on July 28 after a dramatic police operation on Highway 1. Statements of intent to indict were filed against the seven suspects on August 4, and their detention was extended until Friday. The murder occurred on July 11 in an apartment in the Nachlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Following the filing, Dekla Razi, the mother of the victim, expressed hope that the court would deliver justice. "I hope the court will do justice and give the guilty the full punishment," she said, according to reports.
