Rabbi Dov Lior lands by helicopter at Sha-Nur, first such landing in 21 years

Rabbi Dov Lior arrived by helicopter at the former settlement of Sha-Nur in northern Samaria on Tuesday evening, the first helicopter landing there since the 2005 disengagement. He was accompanied by Samaria leader Yossi Dagan, who said: 'We will continue to build and repair, 19 settlements will be built where four were destroyed.'

Rabbi Dov Lior, a prominent religious figure in the settlement movement, landed by helicopter at Sha-Nur on Tuesday evening, the first such landing since the 2005 Israeli disengagement from the Gaza Strip and northern Samaria. The visit was accompanied by Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who praised the return as a 'historic moment' and vowed to build 19 settlements.
