A report claims Iran, the Houthis, and allied militias are planning a combined attack on Saudi Arabia 'very soon,' according to an unverified report.
An unverified report claims that Iran, the Houthis, and allied militias are planning a combined attack on Saudi Arabia "very soon." The report, which has not been independently corroborated, emerges as the latest in a series of warnings from Saudi officials that have intensified over the past 12 hours.
Since Thursday evening, multiple Saudi sources have briefed international media on an alleged coordinated attack plan. At 23:37 Jerusalem time Thursday, a Saudi royal family source told Al-Arabiya that Iran was coordinating with the Houthis and Iraqi militias for an attack. Within hours, a senior Saudi official told Reuters that potential targets include energy facilities, ports, and airports. CNN later reported a Saudi official warning of strikes on ports and airports "in the very near future," and that Saudi briefings had detected movement of missiles and drones. By early Friday morning, a Saudi official told Al-Arabiya that the IRGC and Iraqi militias were coordinating with the Houthis, and that Riyadh would respond to any aggression. Separately, Iraqi security forces were reportedly deployed in Baghdad to prevent the Popular Mobilization Forces from escalating against Saudi Arabia.
The warnings come amid a broader regional confrontation. As The Zioneer previously reported, the US, Israel, and Gulf states including Saudi Arabia have been preparing a joint military operation against Iran and the Houthis. Separately, Shin Bet chief Ronen Zini has warned of a potential large-scale attack on Eilat, though security sources disputed the intelligence basis.
The new report remains unverified, and no corroborating sources have emerged. While the Saudi warnings have been consistent and increasingly specific, no attack has yet materialized, and the reliability of the latest claim cannot be confirmed.
