The recordings, reported by journalist Hodiya Ran, capture conversations between Feldman and Ahmed Al-Rajoub, the 23-year-old Ramla resident he represented in a tort claim. The dispute centered on compensation money of 10,000–15,000 shekels, with Al-Rajoub heard warning about his financial situation months before the killing.
On Tuesday, Aug 4, at 16:23 Jerusalem, The Zioneer reported that the murdered attorney had represented his alleged killer in a minor tort claim for about 30,000 shekels, which was settled for roughly 23,000 shekels three weeks earlier. Later that day, the suspect turned himself in. The Zioneer also reported on Wednesday that the suspect told the court he would kill anyone placed in his cell, leading to a remand extension until Aug 16 (14:56 Jerusalem). The Rishon LeZion Magistrate’s Court extended his detention at 16:32 Jerusalem, as The Zioneer reported.
Earlier Wednesday, the legal community held a minute of silence for Feldman, who was identified as a local resident of Rishon LeZion, survived by his wife and three children. The new recordings, from months before the murder, now provide a clearer suspected motive for the killing, building on the earlier reports of a lawsuit settlement dispute.
