State Comptroller: IDF failed to prepare for long-term detention of prisoners during war

A State Comptroller report finds the IDF and Israel Prison Service did not prepare for long-term detention of large numbers of security prisoners during the war. As a result of overcrowding, the Shin Bet was forced to reduce planned arrests in Judea and Samaria. The report also states that due to the lack of preparation, the director of Shifa Hospital and 18 other prisoners were released while hostages were still held in Gaza.
