Local reports indicate a third wave of US airstrikes is currently underway in southern Iran, described as the most powerful in the campaign. Explosions have been heard in Jask, Qeshm, Konarak, and Chabahar, according to the reports, which have not been independently verified by Iranian or US officials.
These reports come after a sequence of similar unverified reports throughout the night in southern Iran. The first explosion was reported in Bushehr shortly after 02:23 Jerusalem, followed by reports of explosions in Asaluyeh and Chabahar, then Kangan, and later Bandar Abbas and Ahvaz, as The Zioneer reported. All of those reports remain unconfirmed.
The current wave is the latest in a broader campaign of reported US strikes on Iranian territory. The Zioneer previously reported on a wave of strikes on July 9 that hit Bushehr and Konarak, and earlier waves in June targeting Jask, Bandar Abbas, and other locations. Some of those earlier reports were later confirmed by US officials.
No official confirmation has been issued for tonight's explosions. The scale, targets, and any casualties remain unknown.
