Three IDF soldiers were severely wounded Saturday morning by a Hezbollah fiber-optic drone in southern Lebanon. The attack occurred inside the Yellow Line security zone, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who confirmed that Hezbollah had violated the ceasefire. In response, the IDF struck the Hezbollah command headquarters from which the attack was ordered, and overnight artillery pounded the Ali Taher ridge.
As The Zioneer reported Saturday evening, Netanyahu accused Hezbollah of deliberately positioning civilians at the command post as human shields to later blame Israel for civilian casualties. Netanyahu said the IDF is operating to remove threats in both Lebanon and Gaza. The military stated it will not tolerate attacks on its forces.
The attack is the latest in a series of Hezbollah drone strikes against Israeli troops in the region. The threat persists despite the ceasefire framework.
