Nitzan Shapira (N12) reports that the trials for the remaining four soldiers involved in the Tzabar battalion rebellion have concluded. Three soldiers who led the rebellion were sentenced to 30 days imprisonment, dismissed from combat, and transferred from combat service. A fourth soldier, already on release leave, was sentenced to 20 days, also dismissed from combat. The total number of soldiers disciplined in the battalion now stands at 18.
The Tzabar battalion rebellion, which came to light several weeks ago, has resulted in disciplinary action against 18 soldiers. As The Zioneer reported earlier today, the military court had already sentenced 14 soldiers prior to today's proceedings. The remaining four cases have now concluded, with the ringleaders receiving the heaviest sentences: three soldiers who led the rebellion were sentenced to 30 days imprisonment and dismissed from combat, while a fourth soldier on release leave received 20 days and was also dismissed. The battalion, part of the Givati Brigade, has been under scrutiny over the incident which involved a refusal to follow orders. The IDF has not commented on the specific sentences.
