01 · THE DISPATCH

Israeli police arrested a suspect Sunday morning on suspicion of involvement in a gang rape of a woman in Ramla. According to initial reports, authorities are actively pursuing additional suspects. The arrest follows an earlier report around 11:06 AM Jerusalem time, when the first suspect was taken into custody — that individual was identified as an illegal entrant (shabach). The identities of the remaining suspects are not yet known. The case, which has drawn public attention, involves allegations of severe sexual offenses committed in an apartment.

As The Zioneer reported earlier, the arrest protocol stated the woman was taken to a suspect's apartment where several others allegedly committed rape and severe sexual offenses. Police have not yet released the number of additional suspects or any further identifying details. The investigation is ongoing.
